How can you play a song on the piano from guitar tabs?

I’ve seen people play a song on the piano by reading guitar tabs (with nothing but the chords and the lyrics), and I was just wondering how this can be done.

    if you know the notes used on the tabs, then you know the note on the piano. Or if you know the notes of the chord that is being played then play it on the piano.

    The root in ur right there many other ways do it but basically just end up playing the 3rd and the 3rd and the chord tones of the 3rd and the 7th of the given.
