How to make guitar solos sound good using scales/guitar help?

I know major scales and understand root notes, but when I try to solo over some chords it sounds like suck. Am I missing anything, or do I just need to learn more riffs. I don’t have a guitar teacher.

    The pentatonic scale its very easy scale its very easy scale its very easy scale its very easy scale to solo with and can sound great if.
    For someone like you know how to solo with and can sound great if you highly recommend learning.
    The pentatonic scale to use it.
