there are no specific chords that you will use in a worship band, it just depends on how the exact song sounds. no where, that i know of, does it say, worship bands use A, B, and D only .
so the more chords you know the better. when you join the band, make sure you know the the style that they play. if they use lots of minor based music, you’ll use the minor chords (etc), obviously, and ANY guitar play should know how to play suspended chords (sus) in order to fully master the instrument. lots of songs, may they be major or minor based, use suspended chords to move the music into another key, or just to keep it moving. so definatly learn them.
i know of many worship bands that have mostly a major style to them, and then i also know of bands who are very minor based, but they all have to use all the same chords, its just a matter of how they use them that makes their style.
but remember not all worship bands have the same style. so make sure you know what style of music the band you’re joining plays.
