What is the best electric guitar to buy for a beginning teenager?

I am 15 years old and want to learn electric guitar. What guitar would you recommend for someone my age with no experience? What amp would would you recommend? I am looking to spend no more than $500 for the guitar and no more than $150 for the amp. Thanks :D
