lelly is not dead asked:

The goth scene originally came from punk, so all the originators played music with guitars, and people who frequented the Batcave had no problem dancing to it, but now, if it’s not EBM, it’s like their legs are broken.
There are plenty of new bands that are good, so it’s not for the fact they are just tired of the old music…
Does the sound of the guitar break the modern goth’s foot?
Does electronic music that isn’t futurepop or modern EBM sprain the ankle?

I have no idea why EBM is so popular or why something with as stupid a name as “Electric Body Music” even gets to be taken seriously. Then again, I don’t know why people wear those big chain pants, either.

Goth night makes me feel old. Can’t a girl get some Bauhaus? Let’s all go listen to Unextraordinary Gentlemen and Hellblinki Sextet and pretend EBM didn’t happen.
